Board of Directors
Peter Barrett
Peter Barrett is a Senior Partner in the life sciences sector
of Atlas Venture and is Chairman of the Board for Ivrea
Pharmaceuticals. He also serves on the Boards of Alnylam,
Archemix, Aureon Laboratories, Helicos BioSciences, InfaCare
Pharmaceuticals, LAB International, Momenta Pharmaceuticals,
Vitae Pharmaceuticals, and Zafgen.
Previously, Peter co-founded Celera Genomics with Dr. J.
Craig Venter and served as the Company’s Executive Vice
President and Chief Business Officer. Prior to Celera, Peter
held senior management positions at The Perkin-Elmer
Corporation, most recently serving as Vice President, Corporate
Planning and Business Development.
Peter serves on the Advisory Council of the Barnett Institute
of Chemical and Biological Analysis at Northeastern University
and is a member of the Partners Healthcare Research Accelerator
Program.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Lowell
Technological Institute (now known as the University of
Massachusetts, Lowell) and his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry
from Northeastern University. He also completed Harvard Business
School’s Management Development Program.
Frank Garcia
Frank Garcia is a General Partner of the Easton Capital
Investment Group. In addition to serving on the Board of
Directors of Ivrea, he currently serves on the Boards of
Archibald (of which he is Chairman) and TransMolecular, and is a
Board observer at CardioMEMS, DC Wireless and SpectRx. Prior to
joining Easton, Frank headed Corporate Finance at Cramer
Rosenthal McGlynn, LLC, a fund management and private equity
firm currently affiliated with Wilmington Trust. He was
previously the founder of the Neptune funds and an Executive
Vice President at Smith-Vasiliou, both of which invested in
special situations; a Vice President in Corporate Finance at
Kidder, Peabody & Co.; and an attorney with Sullivan &
Cromwell.
Frank received a J. D. degree from Harvard Law School and an
AB degree from Harvard College.
Myles Greenberg
Myles is a General Partner with CHL Medical Partners. As well
as being a Director of Ivrea Pharmaceuticals, Myles currently
serves on the board of CHL Medical Partners portfolio companies,
Millennium Pharmacy Systems, Inc, and Oculir, Inc. He is also
Chairman of the Board at ParinGenix, Inc. Previously Myles was a
Senior Principal at A. M. Pappas & Associates (now Pappas
Ventures), where he served on the boards of Angiomics, Inc,
Dynogen Pharmaceuticals, Inc, FlowCardia, Inc. and Nuvasive,
Inc.
Myles is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School
of Engineering and Applied Science, Yale University School of
Medicine, and Harvard Business School.
Daniel S. Lynch
Dan Lynch is the President, CEO and a Director of Ivrea
Pharmaceuticals. He also serves on the Board of Directors and
the Audit Committee of U.S. Oncology, Inc.
Previously, Dan served as CFO and then CEO and a Director of
ImClone Systems Inc. Prior to ImClone, he held the position of
Chief Financial Officer of Derby Cycle Corporation. Dan also
served for 15 years in various financial capacities at
Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, including Vice President positions
for the U.S. Pharmaceuticals business, Worldwide Manufacturing
operations, International Pharmaceuticals business, and the
Worldwide Consumer Medicines business.
Dan received his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from
Wesleyan University and his M.B.A. from the Darden Graduate
School of Business Administration at The University of Virginia.
Seth Orlow MD, PhD
Seth Orlow is a co-founder of Ivrea Pharmaceuticals and
serves as Chairman of the Company's Medical Advisory Board. Seth
is Chairman of Dermatology and a Professor of Dermatology, Cell
Biology, & Pediatrics at New York University School of
Medicine, New York. A Venture Partner with Easton Capital
Partnersm, Seth currently also serves on the Boards of Protez
Pharmaceuticals and Transave, Inc. Previously, He was also a
founder of the Anaderm Research Corporation, a privately held
drug discovery company acquired by Pfizer. Seth has more than 15
years of experience as a consultant to major pharmaceutical
companies, biotechnology companies, OTC manufacturers, and
private equity firms on early and late stage pre-clinical drug
discovery, clinical development, market opportunities,
in-and-out licensing, and strategy.
Seth holds an A.B. in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard
College and an M.D.-Ph.D from Albert Einstein College of
Medicine in Molecular Pharmacology. He was a resident and fellow
in dermatology at Yale University.
Scott Silverman
Scott Silverman is a Principal in the life sciences sector of
Atlas Venture.
Previously, Scott worked at the life science venture capital
form Oxford Bioscience Partners and as a strategy and management
consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.
As a Keasbey Memorial Scholar, Scott received his Doctorate
in Clinical Molecular Genetics from Oxford University’s
Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine. He also graduated
Phi Beta Kappa and with High Honors from Dartmouth College with
a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

Seth Orlow – MD, PhD –Chairman of MAB

Guy Webster – MD PhD
Guy Webster received his MD and PhD from the University of
Pennsylvania and completed residency training in dermatology at
New York University. An internationally recognized expert in
acne and dermatologic therapy, Dr Webster has over 100
publications mostly related to inflammatory and infectious skin
diseases. Until 2005, he was professor and Vice Chairman in the
Department of Dermatology of Jefferson Medical College in
Philadelphia. Currently he is Clinical Professor of Dermatology
at Jefferson.
Lawrence F.
Eichenfield, M.D.
Dr. Eichenfield is Chief of Pediatric and Adolescent
Dermatology at Rady Children's Hospital, San Diego, and
Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine (Dermatology), at the
University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine.
He earned his medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine
in New York, was a pediatric resident and chief resident at
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and completed dermatology
training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He
is board certified in pediatrics, dermatology and pediatric
dermatology.
Dr. Eichenfield's clinical interests include atopic
dermatitis, acne, laser surgery, and procedural pain control. he
serves on the Board of the American academy of Dermatology. He
is Editor-in-Chief of Pediatric Dermatology. Dr. Eichenfield has
published more than 150 journal articles, chapters and
abstracts, and books.
